All positions require reliable internet access, basic computer proficiency, familiarity with email and online communication platforms, and dependable transportation. Team members are also expected to attend monthly meetings, participate in training sessions, and assist with Big River Paranormal events as needed.

Big River Paranormal Rules and Participation Protocols
The following expectations apply to all Big River Paranormal team members.
These protocols are established to ensure the safety of our team, maintain the integrity of the evidence we collect, and safeguard the clients we serve.
Participation guidelines are designed to ensure that every member contributes effectively to the team, supports our clients, and upholds the standards of Big River Paranormal.
The Big River Paranormal reserves the right to dismiss members at any time if the rules are not followed or if behavior negatively impacts the team or business.
1- No alcohol or drugs before any Big River Paranormal event.
2- Follow all safety instructions given by your Directors and Lead Investigators.
No exploring alone. Always work in pairs.
Use all required safety gear. (Flashlights, radios, etc.)
3- Always carry state issued identification.
4- All signed forms, contact information, interviews and evidence gathered during an investigation are the sole property of Big River Paranormal. All case information, client details, evidence, location, and internal communications are strictly confidential and may not be shared outside of the BRP without written authorization.
5- Be respectful of the property that is being investigated.
6- Come prepared for each meeting or investigation.
7- All team members are responsible for paying $10.00 a month dues no later than each monthly meeting. You cannot be late. Please keep in mind that your dues help us with our business expenses that go above and beyond any dues paid.
Directors will not discuss BRP financial business with anyone other than the Executive Director / Owner.
8- You will always behave in a professional manner. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior towards clients or team members will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal.
Code of Ethics:
Be honest in reporting.
Do not fabricate evidence.
Do not provoke clients (living or deceased) in harmful ways.
9- You will attend monthly meetings. These are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month. Members must attend at least 80% of the scheduled meetings unless excused by the Director.
Mandatory meetings are required from time to time for all staff so we can align on protocols, training, and expectations. The term “mandatory” is not meant to be negative, but to emphasize the importance of full participation. When team members consistently miss these sessions, it impacts our ability to function efficiently and maintain a high professional standard.
We do understand that emergencies arise. These can be deemed an excused absence depending on the circumstances, but you should speak to your director as soon as possible.
10- You are expected to let your Executive Director / Director know at least 2 days in advance should you not be able to attend any investigation or event.
11- No call or no show for an investigation is grounds for immediate removal from the team. We do understand that emergencies arise. These can be deemed an excused absence depending on the circumstances, but you should speak to your director as soon as possible.
12- You are responsible for completing a post investigation report within 24 hours of the investigation. The link for the online form, Mandatory Post Investigation Report, can be found on the forums.
13- Equipment Handling
Treat all BRP Equipment with care. A good deal of expense has gone into acquiring the equipment.
Report damages to any equipment immediately.
Do not use personal devices to store evidence unless authorized by a director.
14- Chain of Custody for Evidence
Members must follow chain-of-custody procedures for all data to ensure integrity and prevent loss or tampering.
15- You are responsible for participating in the forums on a regular basis. Check the forums and post daily. If you begin a post, please follow up with that post to keep it active and to make sure that those also posting know you see it and appreciate their responding to it.
16- You are required to volunteer for at least one hour at each special event that we host or attend.
17- Personal appearance is very important to Big River Paranormal. You must be clean, neat and pressed always when representing Big River Paranormal. Smoking, Chewing Tabacco, etc. is not allowed during an investigation or event.
18- Social media and Public Posting: Members may not post photos, videos, evidence, forms, client names, behind-the-scenes footage, or investigation details on social media without the written permission of the Executive Director.
19- Cell Phone Policy: To help everyone stay focused on BRP activities, please keep all cell phones silent and out of sight during meetings, events, and investigations.
